If something went wrong, it helps to mention your device, the iOS version, the level and what you were doing.

How do I play?

Tap two matching tiles to clear them. A tile can only be picked when it's free: nothing lies on top of it, and its left or right side is open. Clear the whole board to finish the level and open the next one on the map. Every board can be cleared.

How are stars earned?

Three stars for a level cleared without help, two if you used a hint, and one if you shuffled the board. You can replay any cleared level to improve your stars.

What are boosts?

A hint or a shuffle costs one boost. You start with 5, and once a day your balance is topped back up to 3 if it's lower. Boosts you buy never expire.

What is the Unlimited Month?

Hints and shuffles are free for 30 days from the day you buy it. It's a single payment and does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. Your boosts are kept for afterwards.

How do I unlock new boards?

Finish a chapter of the map. The last level of each chapter, marked with a gift, unlocks a new board and gives you 5 boosts. The strip above the Play button shows the next board and how close you are; tap it to see every board and the level that unlocks it. Boards you've unlocked can be played there any time.

What is the star chest?

Every 20 stars you earn opens a chest of 3 boosts. Replaying a level for more stars counts.

Is anything locked behind a purchase?

No. Every level, every board, every tile style and the daily puzzle are free; boards unlock by playing. Purchases only add boosts or unlimited hints and shuffles.

How do I restore my purchases?

Tap the boost counter at the top of the map to open the shop, then tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. An Unlimited Month carries over to a new device this way; boosts are kept on the device they were bought on.

When does the daily puzzle change?

At midnight on your device. It's the same board for everyone that day.

How do leaderboards and achievements work?

They use Apple's Game Center. If you're signed in to Game Center on your device, the trophy button at the top of the map opens your leaderboards and achievements. The daily leaderboard only takes times set without hints or shuffles. To stop taking part, sign out of Game Center in the Settings app.

Where is my progress saved?

On your device. Deleting the app deletes your map progress, stars and boost balance.
